一、名词token是什么意思你知道多少

1.（启动机器或用作支付方式的）代币，专用辅币

eg: This token is used to take a subway.

这个代币是用来乘坐地铁的。

2. 代价券

eg: The newly opened restaurant gave away tokens in its opening ceremony. 

新开的餐厅在开业典礼上分发代金券。

3. 赠券；礼券

eg: Five tokens from this shop can exchange for a beautiful cup.

这家店的六张礼券就可以换一个漂亮的杯子。

4.（感觉、事实、事件等的）象征，标志，表示，信物

eg: She cherish this small gift very much because it’s token of their love.

她非常珍惜这个小礼物，因为这是他们的爱情信物。

二、详解形容词token是什么意思

1. 装样子的；装点门面的；敷衍的

eg: These books on the shelf are just token things because he never reads them.

书架上的那些书仅仅是装点门面的事物，他从来没有读过它们。 

2. 象征性的；作为标志的

eg: Workers launched a one-day token strike to threaten the factory director.

工人们发起了一天象征性的罢工来威胁厂长。 

3. (小额款项) 象征性的（付款或费用）

eg: We only charge a token fee for admission of this club.

我们只是象征性地收取一点入会费。

三、token和这几个词的差别在哪儿？

1.token

多表示象征着友情、爱情等情感的纪念品或者礼物。

eg: I sent Lily a gift at her birthday party as a token of our friendship.

我在莉莉的生日会上送了她一个礼物作为我们友谊的象征。

2.mark

多指清晰可见的痕迹或固有的标志。

eg: I put a mark on that page to remind me to read it again.

我在那一页作了个记号，提醒我自己重新读一遍。

3.sign

一般指有固定意义的简明符号或标志。

eg: You should put a plus sign here, but not a minus sign.

你应该在这里添个加号，而不是减号。

4.symbol 

指有象征意义或是包含某种深刻含义的特殊事物。

eg: White pigeon has always been a symbol of peace all around the word.

白鸽在全世界一直是和平的象征。
