My stomach leads the way when I'm travelling, so I think I've eaten quite a few interesting foreign foods, but by far, the most mind blowing has been 黒ゴマアイス, or "black sesame ice cream", which I ate in Japan. You put aside your apprehensions for a moment, spoon a bit of it into your mouth, and you realize you're not the same person you were a second before. You feel... illuminated. (OK, maybe not, but maybe just a little less prone to quick judgment.)

我在旅行的时候，一向是跟着我的胃走。我觉得自己吃过不少有趣的外国食物，到目前为止最令我震惊的还是在日本吃到的黑芝麻冰淇淋。你看到它的第一眼会很没有胃口，不过当你将它舀到嘴里吃的时候，会意识到你跟吃之前不一样了。

If you're ever in Japan and they serve this where you're eating, try it. It's a must.

In the United Kingdom and the United States, you can also buy pineapple. But they are sour and dry, their sweetness is negligible, the fiber is hard to chew, and there is a nucleus that must be thrown away.

在英国和美国，你也可以买到菠萝。但是它们又酸又干，甜味可以忽略不计，纤维很难咀嚼，并且中间还有一个必须扔掉的核。

When I went to Thailand, God, I felt like I had never eaten pineapple. The pineapple there is sweet and soft, so delicious, not sour at all. Pineapple is the best part in the middle!

可当我去了泰国之后，天哪，我感觉我好像从来没有吃过菠萝。那里的菠萝又甜又软，那么美味，一点也不酸一点也不苦。菠萝中间反而是最好吃的部分！

It most definitely is Butter chicken. An Indian dish of chicken in a mildly spiced curry sauce.. Oh my goddess, actually I've just had one! Whenever I go to an Indian restaurant I order the same goddamn dish my friends & family keeps asking me to just try something else for heaven's sake, but the taste is so damn addictive, rich and unique it brainwash you -or me actually- into thinking that it just can't get any better.. Especially when served with Indian cheese stuffed Naan, first time I tried it in Thailand I asked the waiter "are you sure you don't put drugs in these?"

肯定是黄油鸡啦，这是一道微辣的印度菜，里面还有咖喱汁。哦天哪，其实我刚刚才吃完一只。只要我去印度餐厅都会点这道菜，我的家人和朋友一直在试图让我尝试别的菜肴。可黄油鸡的味道太让人上瘾了，尤其是当它和印度馕一起出现的时候。我第一次在泰国吃到这菜的时候，还问服务员里面是不是放了毒。

I think I can eat this dish until I die ahaha! Then comes the Masala chai, which is a whole other story of deliciousness I'll leave for another answer..

我觉得这菜我可以吃到死！还有印度拉茶，不过这又是另外一个美味故事了……

I was visiting my Indian girlfriend living in Delhi in 2011. It was a rather hot day, and I wanted some rest after taking my luggage from the airport. I decided to have my lunch in the nearby cafe. I ordered one of these and it came out within 10-15 minutes.

2011年，我去拜访了住在新德里的印度女友。那天非常热，拿完行李后我非常想休息一下。于是我决定在附近的咖啡厅解决掉午餐。我点了个饼，它十几分钟后就来了。

I took a first bite on it, and it was the best taste i have ever experienced in my life. I liked the softness of the bread that smoothly covered the texture of the molten cheese inside. It had some kind of red pepper sprayed on the top, and it reduced the thickness of the "art piece". It was nothing like the cheese pizza that you can order easily from some fast food restaurant.

吃到第一口的时候，我觉得这是我这辈子吃过最好吃的饼。我喜欢面饼的柔软，里面还带着融化了的芝士。饼上面还有点辣椒，它让这饼看起来没那么厚。这与快餐店的芝士披萨完全不一样。从那天起，我就喜欢上了印度菜。
