一、include只有这两层意思

1. 包括；包含（不用于进行时）

eg: This passage includes seven paragraphs.

这篇文章包含七个段落。

As we planned, the meeting held this afternoon will include four parts. 

如同我们计划的那样，今天下午的会议将包括四个部分。

2. 使成为…的一部分

eg: It’s more reliable if you can include some figures in your report.

如果你能在你的报告中加入一些数字的话，你的报告会更可靠。

二、include的几个派生词

1.including 包括……在内（prep.）

eg: Three people were injured in this accident, including a young man.

三人在这起事故中受伤，包括一名年轻人。

2.inclusion （n.）

①（被）包括，包含

eg: To be honest, his inclusion in the team did surprise us.

说实话，他被选入队伍确实让我们大吃一惊。

②被包括的人或事

eg: There are some unexpected inclusions in the list of winners.

获奖名单中包含一些意想不到的人。

3.inclusive (adj.)

①包含全部费用的

eg: The fully inclusive fee for his first year in college was much more than his parents expected.

他上大学第一年的费用远比他父母想象的要多。

②包容广泛的，范围广阔的

eg: This community is much more inclusive than it used to be.

这个社区的包容性比过去强多了。

三、including, included和include的用法辨析

1.include是及物动词，在句子中作谓语，表示“包含，包括”，一般不用于进行时态。

eg: The price didn’t include transportation.

这个价格不包含交通费用。

2.including为include的现在分词形式，此时作介词，后面直接接名词作宾语。

eg: Five students entered the final, including your sister.

五个学生进入了总决赛，包括你姐姐。

3.included为include的过去分词，这时可视为形容词，表示“……是包括在内的”，一般放在名词或代词的后面，起补充说明作用。

eg: Five students entered the final, your sister included.

五个学生进入了总决赛，你姐姐包括在内。
