踏青的英文是have an outing in spring，outing是外出的意思，春天出门游玩可以称为探春、寻春。我们平常说的春游英文就是spring outing。踏青还有一种说法是go for a walk in the country in spring，country除了有国家的意思，还有乡村、田野的意思，而游走于在田野间感受春天的气息，便是踏青了。

例句：

We went to the suburbs for an outing in early spring.

初春我们到郊外踏青。
